Job summary

Axle Informatics in Tysons, VA is hiring a Finance & Accounting Associate to support multi‑entity accounting, GAAP reporting, and government contracting compliance. You will drive close processes, cost accounting, and financial analysis across entities.

The role emphasizes AI-enabled finance workflows using Claude, ChatGPT, Power BI, and Tableau, with mentoring of junior staff and collaboration with operations and leadership to build scalable financial infrastructure.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Master’s degree preferred.
CPA and/or CMA certification preferred.
3-5 years accounting/finance experience with multi-entity exposure.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including consolidation, revenue recognition, leases, cost accounting; DCAA familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

Close processes monthly, quarterly and year-end per U.S. GAAP with consolidated statements.
Perform reconciliations and variance analyses across entities.
Manage cost accounting and project-based reporting, invoicing, and gov't reporting.
Support budgeting, multi-year forecasting, and rolling cash flow with KPI dashboards.
Develop AI-enabled finance workflows using Claude, ChatGPT, Power BI, Tableau.
Enhance internal controls and accounting policies; support external audits.
Mentor junior associates and collaborate across functions.
