Job summary

Puffer-Sweiven, an Emerson Impact Partner in Texas, is seeking an Inspector to execute final inspections and ensure quality across outbound assemblies and customer orders. You will verify product identity, packaging, and documentation while coordinating with Ops, Procurement, Sales, and Quality teams.

The role emphasizes accuracy in inventory, calibration record maintenance, and timely reporting of nonconformances.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; technical training in quality, manufacturing, mechanical technology, or a related field preferred.
• Three or more years of experience in industrial inspection, manufacturing, assembly, repair, warehouse operations, or quality assurance preferred.
• Experience with final inspection, inventory control or cycle counting, and calibration records preferred.
• Experience with valves, instrumentation, regulators, or similar industrial products is desirable but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform final inspections of outbound assemblies, repairs, shelf picks, and customer orders in accordance with approved procedures and sampling plans.
• Schedule and prioritize inspections to support operational and shipment requirements without compromising quality.
• Verify product identity, quantity, configuration, condition, tagging, documentation, packaging, and customer requirements.
• Approve conforming products for shipment and stop, hold, or segregate products that do not meet requirements.
• Document nonconformances and coordinate timely resolution with Operations, Procurement, Sales, and Quality.
• Support customer witness inspections when required.
• Inspect purchased machined mounting parts and returned material, when assigned, in accordance with applicable procedures.
