Job summary

bioMérieux is seeking a microbiology lab professional to support testing of disposable cards, perform environment testing, and maintain documentation per cGMP. The role requires aseptic lab practices, strong attention to safety, and capability to handle equipment like VITEK systems and TECAN automation. The candidate should be adaptable, able to multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment with strict quality controls.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 3+ years in microbiology/lab.
• Prefer a 4-year biology/microbiology degree.
• Environmental Monitoring experience preferred.
• Experience with VITEK instruments and TECAN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Test products as scheduled per procedures and specifications.
• Set up and perform physical inspection of products per procedures and specifications.
• Label cages to note status and manage reserve samples.
• Unpack, maintain, and organize laboratory supplies/inventory.
• Support QC and other projects as requested by management.
• Collect and test Environmental Monitoring samples from production areas.
• Utilize and maintain automated systems for sample preparation and testing.
• Prepare supplies for autoclaving and run the autoclave.
• Prepare and dispense microbiological suspensions per procedure.
• Maintain all relevant laboratory paperwork per procedures and regulations.
• Perform all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
