Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Final Inspector for a large metal finishing facility in Costa Mesa, CA, with first shift opportunities and overtime after training. The role pays $18.00–$24.00/hr and requires strong measurement tool experience and knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 quality management.

Responsibilities include inspecting parts per drawings, using precision equipment, and coordinating calibrations. Relocation is not required, and benefits include medical/dental/vision and 401(k).

Job Title: Final Inspector

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Final Inspectors for a large metal finishing facility located in Costa Mesa, CA. Opportunities are available for first shift (6am-2:30pm) This role offers a competitive wage based on experience, with overtime available after training.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, including in-process and final inspections of parts and assemblies, in accordance with applicable engineering criteria, documents, drawings, and workmanship standards.
• Utilize precision measurement equipment/devices to conduct inspections.
• Act as a customer liaison for source inspection activities.
• Coordinate calibration activities and maintain records of various tools, instruments, and gauges used for product acceptance or verification/validation.
• Ensure proper operation of measurement equipment by following operating instructions.
• Assist engineering and operations in the investigation of non-conformities.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following guidelines and procedures and complying with all applicable regulations.

Essential Skills

• Extensive knowledge of common inspection measuring equipment, including thickness gauges, surface plates, micrometers, height gauges, radius gauges, bore gauges, and dial indicators.
• Proficient manual dexterity and adept use of precision measuring tools.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 & AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
• Working knowledge of First Article Inspection requirements per AS9102.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing Practices and Metrics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills to determine product acceptability based on established criteria.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with inspection, quality control, and final inspection processes.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
