Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for the Raptor Final Assembly and Tube Shop in Hawthorne, CA. You will oversee build and test processes, develop assembly methods for high-volume engine production, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to keep schedules on track.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or manufacturing engineering and 1+ years of relevant experience, with NX CAD and GD&T skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, or manufacturing engineering.
• At least 1 year of mechanical design and manufacturing experience.
• Experience with NX CAD and GD&T for component/tooling design.

Responsibilities

• Oversee build and test processes for the Raptor final assembly and Tube Shop production area.
• Develop, qualify, and refine assembly processes for high-volume engine production.
• Collaborate with design, build, reliability, and external vendors to meet schedules.
• Resolve build issues and perform root cause analysis with corrective actions.
• Design tooling to support rate production and improve quality and efficiency.
