SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for Raptor Turbomachinery to develop, implement and optimize the production process for turbomachinery components and assemblies.

You will work with design and fabrication teams to drive high-rate production, design tooling, improve balance processes, and resolve manufacturing challenges while maintaining ownership of schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 1+ years of propulsion or power generation product design, development, fabrication, assembly, or test.

Responsabilités

• Develop the manufacturing and integration processes for turbomachinery components and assemblies in the Raptor engine.
• Implement new manufacturing capabilities and resolve conflicting requirements.
• Optimize processes based on measurement or test data.
• Develop tooling and processes for balance correction methods unique to part geometries.
• Support high-rate production targets and demonstrate feasibility of process changes.
• Collaborate with design/development engineers and fabrication shops to build and assemble parts.
