Position Objective

The Final Assembly Technician I performs workstation assembly operations, including sewing and packaging heart valves in a cleanroom environment. This role involves inspecting components for conformance to specifications using microscopes, following standard work procedures, and practicing safe work habits to ensure efficient and safe production.

Responsibilities
  • Sew and assemble sewing cuffs to specifications in a cleanroom environment.
  • Inspect materials, components, in-process assemblies, and finished goods with microscopes.
  • Maintain accurate production and inspection records.
  • Assist with monitoring, cleaning, and testing the cleanroom environment.
  • Batch components for daily production.
  • Be proficient in sewing all Mitrals, Aortics, and Conform_X product lines.
  • Prioritize quality in all job functions.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and production expectations.
  • Adhere to all Clean Room Good Manufacturing Practices regarding behavior and attire.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience in inspection, assembly, or intricate hand work preferred.
  • Experience with FDA & ISO manufacturing practices preferred.
  • Basic computer skills, including MS Office, internet, and email.
  • Ability to read and interpret detailed manufacturing instructions and drawings.
  • Ability to use a microscope effectively.
  • Availability to work Monday-Friday, 5:00 am - 2:30 pm.
  • Willingness to work overtime and Saturdays.

Physical requirements include sitting or standing for extended periods, lifting or bending with loads up to 25 lbs, tolerating exposure to cooler temperatures, noise, dust, and odors, with good or corrected eyesight and eye/hand coordination.
