Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a full-time, permanent field service technician to complete final assembly and testing of packaging machinery. You will work with customer cartons and products to ensure proper function before shipment.

Responsibilities include installing tooling, running and debugging machines, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical and software issues, interpreting CAD drawings, and coordinating with engineering to improve reliability and customer

Qualifications

• Experience working with machinery and a strong technical background.
• Ability to clearly communicate with customers about mechanical and electrical components.
• PLC experience preferred; ability to troubleshoot PLC functions remotely and onsite.
• Experience with servos, drives, and pneumatics.
• Detail oriented and proficient with a variety of hand tools.

• Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests with customers (virtually or in person).
• Review customer manuals and provide training on machines and preventative maintenance.

Fulltime, permanent, direct hire starting ASAP! Pay is $32-40/hour, DOE.

Job Description: Perform final steps in the building of packaging machinery and work directly with customer's cartons and products to ensure proper functioning before the machinery goes out to the customer’s plant

Job Responsibilities:

• Install Tooling and Change parts
• Run and debug packaging machines before shipment to the customer's plant
• Use Troubleshooting skills to resolve mechanical, electrical and software issues to make machinery function
• Assemble mechanical and electrical components on machinery
• Interpret CAD drawings
• Work with engineering to continuously improve product design for reliability, serviceability and customer satisfaction
• Participate in product design reviews and steer engineering thinking towards improving customer experience
• Perform quality control testing on machinery
• Make on the floor design changes/fixes as needed and keep engineering informed
• Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests with customers (virtually or in person)
• Review customer manuals and do customer training on machines as well as going over a preventative maintenance schedule

Job Requirements:

• Experience working with machinery and a strong technical background is required
• Be able to clearly communicate with a customer about mechanical and electrical components on a machine
• Experience with PLCs preferred. Ability to troubleshoot PLC functions remotely and onsite
• Experience working with servos, drives, and pneumatics
• Precision motion experience preferred
• Proficient with a variety of hand tools
• Detail oriented
