Job summary

The Davis Companies is seeking Manufacturing Technicians for our client’s growing team that builds large industrial equipment. Direct hire with long-term growth, first shift from 5:00 AM to 2:30 PM under a 9/80 schedule.

Positions entail mechanical assembly, testing, and documentation in assembly of propulsion and power-generation equipment and large enclosures. A DOT physical may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of manufacturing, mechanical assembly, production, or related experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.
• Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions and assembly documentation.
• Experience working in a team-oriented manufacturing environment.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical assembly, disassembly, rework, and testing of mechanical and electromechanical equipment.
• Assemble motors, machines, piping systems, wiring, and related components.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings, work instructions, engineering specifications, and build documentation.
• Conduct inspections, troubleshooting, testing, and repairs as needed.
• Follow detailed procedures and quality requirements.
• Use hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and other assembly equipment.
• Operate around equipment such as overhead cranes and scissor lifts while following all safety procedures.
• Work closely with production, engineering, quality, and materials teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation and production records.
• Meet production schedules and quality standards.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Support overtime as needed.

Schedule: 1st Shift | 9/80 Work Schedule | 5:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Technicians may support one of two production areas:

• Assembly of large propulsion and power generation equipment following highly detailed work instructions and documentation requirements.
• Assembly of large equipment enclosures and custom systems for commercial customers, working from build books and engineering documentation.

Both areas require strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work safely with large assemblies and production equipment.
