Job summary

Redwire Defense Tech is seeking a System Check Out Technician in San Luis Obispo, CA to perform final checks and verification of equipment per specifications, ensuring adherence to rigorous quality standards. You will support engineering with technical issues and collaborate with the shop and company teammates to maintain high performance.

The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to read schematics, and proficiency with Windows-based word processing and spreadsheets.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and follow schematics, drawings, procedures, etc.
• Proficiency with Windows PC word processing and spreadsheets
• High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
• Technically minded to diagnose and solve equipment issues
• Experience performing mechanical and functional tests
• Strong communication skills to work with internal teams
• Ability to communicate with management across the United States on processes
• Good organization and time management skills
• Ability to take initiative and think proactively

Responsibilities

• End of line quality checks on equipment
• Perform functional and mechanical check outs as necessary
• Verification of production paperwork for accuracy
• Support Flight Test Operations as needed
• Initiate customer inspection and invoicing of completed equipment
• Communicate, discuss, and listen to challenges with management and teammates
• Support problem solving activities for technical issues
