Position Details

Assembler 2nd Shift | Mayville, WI

Job Summary

Will perform a variety of jobs, fitting together manufactured and purchased parts into subassemblies or complete products. These products can be mechanical, electrical, or a combination of both. The individual will have the opportunity to acquire the skills necessary to advance to the Advanced Assembler #1 classification.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and understand blueprints and routings to produce parts to the required specifications.
• Responsible for the quality of the assemblies produced.
• Perform first piece inspection and subsequent inspections to ensure overall quality.
• Responsible for the care of routine maintenance and keeping the work area neat and clean.
• Follow all rules regarding machine operation and machine guarding.
• Maintain simple reports on productivity, quality, and safety.

Required Qualifications

• Possess the skill and ability to assemble manufactured and purchased parts into subassemblies or complete products.
• Must be equipped with all the required tools to perform functions of the job (tools provided by the site).
• Able to operate assembly equipment such as rivet machines, assembly presses, and power tools.
• Physical ability to do work requiring frequent standing, sitting, bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 30 lbs. frequently.
• Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work order instructions and prepare simple production reports.
• Sufficient visual acuity (corrected) to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to operate equipment properly.
