Job summary

Parker Hannifin is seeking a Product Development Engineer at the Filtration Innovation Center to design, develop, and validate innovative filtration products and technologies.

Lead cross-functional workstreams within programs, applying structured development processes and strong project management to deliver manufacturable solutions that meet performance, quality, cost, and schedule targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required; B.S. in mechanical engineering preferred.
• Five to ten years of product development or design engineering experience.
• Experience designing industrial machinery or process equipment and releasing drawings to shops.
• Experience developing engineered products from concept through testing and commercialization.
• Experience in filtration, fluid handling, or related engineered products is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and validation of new products from concept through commercialization.
• Maintain project documentation, schedules, financial analyses, risk assessments, and design reviews.
• Develop detailed project timelines with milestones, risks, and actions.
• Plan and facilitate formal design reviews comparing planned vs. actual results.
• Lead or support FMEA activities to identify and mitigate risks.
• Create design layouts, drawings, and engineering documents.
• Review drawings for accuracy, manufacturability, and standards compliance.
• Design, execute, and document experiments to validate performance and reliability.
• Develop prototype concepts and coordinate fabrication, testing, and refinement.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, sourcing, operations, marketing, and application engineering.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities while maintaining value.
