Job summary

Mann in Gastonia, NC is seeking a Product Engineer to drive development, validation, and continuous improvement of filtration products. You will ensure compliance with customer specs, internal standards, and regulatory requirements, collaborating with Design, Quality, Manufacturing, Sales, and Customers.

You will lead product launches, coordinate APQP activities, and define fit, form, and function based on technical needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Materials engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong proficiency in 3D CAD and GD&T.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet timing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead product engineering activities from concept through release.
• Coordinate APQP activities for R&D projects.
• Define product fit, form, and function based on customer requirements.
• Develop CAD designs, drawings, prototypes, and validation plans.
• Plan and execute testing to ensure compliance with OEM specs.
• Analyze validation results and advise on design changes.
• Support OEMs, private label, and internal customers with technical expertise.
• Review designs with customers and suppliers.
• Create and modify 3D CAD models and drawings per standards.
• Provide manufacturing and quality support.
• Maintain accurate project documentation.
• Lead cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
