Job summary

AAF International is seeking a Filter Service Tech Lead to coordinate a team of service techs and ensure on-time customer service. The role involves directing truck usage, performing on-site inspections, and logging work in SAP.

The position requires basic HVAC knowledge, tool use, a valid driver’s license, forklift certification, and willingness to travel for service jobs. On-site work with customers is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years HVAC experience preferred but not required.
• Basic HVAC knowledge and use of basic hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all Service Techs have correct orders for the day.
• Coordinate the use of company trucks.
• Ensure orders are completed and entered in SAP.
• Perform visual inspections of each unit during service.
• Note deficiencies and report to manager.
• Maintain service truck per vehicle guide.
• Accountability of all tools.
• Load truck and keep it clean.
• Introduce yourself on site and explain the day’s work.
• Complete work and dispose of created trash.
• Have paperwork signed.
• Deliveries and pickups as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Date and initial filters in filter bank.
• Be a team player.
• Able to climb ladders; not afraid of heights.
• Clean debris from roofs and dispose properly.
• Travel out of town for service jobs when required.

Position Objective:

The Filter Service Tech Lead coordinates the activities of a team of service techs; ensure customers are serviced in a timely manner and coordinates the use of company trucks.

Key Accountabilities:

• Ensure all Service Techs have the correct orders for the day
• Coordinate the use of company trucks
• Ensure all orders are completed and returned to be processed in SAP
• Perform visual inspections of each unit during the service.
• Take notes of any deficiencies and forward it to manager to contact the customer.
• Ensure that the service truck is maintained properly and as noted in vehicles specification guide.
• Accountability of all tools.
• Loading truck, keep truck clean
• Make initial contact with the person in charge when arriving on site and explain the day's work.
• At the completion of the work will remove and dispose of all trash that was created from the work.
• Have the paperwork signed.
• Make deliveries and pickups when necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Date and initial filters in filter bank
• Must be a team player, able to work w/ others
• Able to climb all types of ladders
• Not be afraid of heights
• Must clean all debris and spent filters off of roof tops and dispose properly
• On occasion be able to go out of town for service jobs

Requirements

Position Requirements:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent required;
2. One to two years in the HVAC industry preferable, but not required;
3. Basic HVAC technical knowledge;
4. Use of basic hand tools;
5. Forklift driver;
6. Valid Driver's License;
7. Basic math skill is needed to be able to figure percentages and to verify figures;
8. Must be able to communicate w/ customers and coworkers;
9. Must be comfortable driving our types of work trucks.
