Job summary

AAF International in Cedar Grove, NJ seeks a Filter Service Technician I to install HVAC filters, inspect units, document deficiencies and coordinate on-site work with the team. The technician will keep the service truck organized, complete all paperwork, and assist in brief deliveries and pickups as required.

The role requires lifting up to 75 lbs, climbing ladders, and willingness to travel to service sites as needed. Full-time position with team-oriented environment.

Key Accountabilities

• Install HVAC filters in various types of air handlers.
• Perform visual inspections of each unit during the service.
• Take notes of any deficiencies and forward it to manager to contact the customer.
• Ensure that the service truck is maintained properly and as noted in vehicles specification guide.
• Accountability of all tools.
• Loading truck, keep truck clean.
• Make initial contact with the person in charge when arriving on site and explain the day's work.
• At the completion of the work will remove and dispose of all trash that was created from the work.
• Have the paperwork signed.
• Make deliveries and pickups when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Date and initial filters in filter bank.
• Must be a team player, able to work w/ others.
• Able to climb all types of ladders.
• Not be afraid of heights.
• Must clean all debris and spent filters off of roof tops and dispose properly.
• On occasion be able to go out of town for service jobs.
• Assist in warehouse when not on a service job.

Position Requirements

• High School diploma.
• Basic Math and reading skills.
• Must have transportation to and from the branch office.
• Must be able to climb ladders and work in heights.
• Able to lift up to 75lbs pounds.
• Experience working both indoors and outdoors.
• Experience driving box trucks of various sizes.
• Forklift experience a plus.
• Comfortable working with hand tools.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Clean driving record.
• Must be able to pass a Drug Panel and DOT Physical Examination.
• Full-Time Availability.

Salary Description

$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
