Job summary

AAF International is seeking a Service Tech Lead to coordinate a team of service technicians and ensure timely on-site customer service. The role manages field operations, routes, and reporting, with emphasis on safety, quality, and efficient truck usage.

You will perform inspections, relay deficiencies to the manager, and ensure paperwork is completed and signed. Must be able to climb ladders, work at heights, and travel for service jobs as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic HVAC knowledge is preferred.
• Ability to communicate with customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all Service Techs have the correct orders for the day.
• Coordinate the use of company trucks.
• Ensure all orders are completed and returned to SAP.
• Perform visual inspections of each unit during the service.
• Take notes of any deficiencies and forward to manager.
• Ensure that the service truck is maintained and clean.
• Accountability of all tools.
• Load the truck and keep it clean.
• Make initial contact with the person in charge on arrival and explain the day’s work.
• At completion, remove and dispose of all trash and ensure paperwork is signed.
• Make deliveries and pickups when necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Date and initial filters in filter bank.
• Must be a team player and able to work with others.
• Able to climb all types of ladders and not afraid of heights.
• Clean debris and spent filters from rooftops and dispose properly.
• Occasionally travel out of town for service jobs.

Position Objective:

The Filter Service Tech Lead coordinates the activities of a team of service techs; ensure customers are serviced in a timely manner and coordinates the use of company trucks.

Key Accountabilities:

• Ensure all Service Techs have the correct orders for the day
• Coordinate the use of company trucks
• Ensure all orders are completed and returned to be processed in SAP
• Perform visual inspections of each unit during the service.
• Take notes of any deficiencies and forward it to manager to contact the customer.
• Ensure that the service truck is maintained properly and as noted in vehicles specification guide.
• Accountability of all tools.
• Loading truck, keep truck clean
• Make initial contact with the person in charge when arriving on site and explain the day's work.
• At the completion of the work will remove and dispose of all trash that was created from the work.
• Have the paperwork signed.
• Make deliveries and pickups when necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Date and initial filters in filter bank
• Must be a team player, able to work w/ others
• Able to climb all types of ladders
• Not be afraid of heights
• Must clean all debris and spent filters off of roof tops and dispose properly
• On occasion be able to go out of town for service jobs

Requirements

Position Requirements:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent required;
2. One to two years in the HVAC industry preferable, but not required;
3. Basic HVAC technical knowledge;
4. Use of basic hand tools;
5. Forklift driver;
6. Valid Driver's License;
7. Basic math skill is needed to be able to figure percentages and to verify figures;
8. Must be able to communicate w/ customers and coworkers;
9. Must be comfortable driving our types of work trucks.
