Job summary

dfa is seeking a production line operator in New York to clean, set up, and run the filling line while ensuring compliance with GMP and safety standards. You will document quality checks, monitor packaging, and assist in changeovers to support efficient production.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and preferably experience in warehouse or production settings. Strong teamwork and clear communication are essential, with attention to detail in records and measurements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Warehouse, production, or general work experience preferred.
• Certification and/or License may be required during course of employment.

Responsibilities

• Clean, set-up, operate, and monitor equipment of the production line.
• Complete all required documentation and scheduled quality checks.
• Monitor weights, seals, caps, and general packaging of product.
• Make adjustments to filler timing and filling; check mat as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic to moderate operating difficulties.
• Collect required samples needed for quality assurance testing.
• Ensure that the proper packaging materials are used for each product being produced.
• Watch for jams on the label operator and thread wrap to prevent downtime due to error.
• Perform filler and filler line changeovers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Complete cleaning checklist once line has completed run.
• Prepare equipment for next run to include size changes as needed.
• Maintain communication with other departments, supervisor, and employees and notify them of problems that may restrict production.
• Ensure all required information is documented in accordance with SOPs.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes using continuous improvement mindset.
• Report any food safety and quality issues to management immediately.
• Maintain safe working conditions and comply with health and safety regulations.
• Follow DFA GMPs and corporate standards for regulatory, safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.
