Maine Oxy is hiring for an entry-level Filler — Production role in Auburn, ME. Earn $22/hour with a $1/hour shift differential on eligible shifts, overtime is available, and it is a full-time day shift with no experience required.

You'll inspect and fill cylinders, perform quality and safety tests, and maintain records meeting DOT, FDA, and Maine Oxy requirements. Forklift operation is involved, and training to operate the equipment is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Ability to work independently on a deadline.
• Willing to learn forklift operation.
• Read safety information and Safety Data Sheets.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and prep cylinders, then fill them by pressure and weight.
• Run quality and purity tests using specialized equipment.
• Complete safety checks and label cylinders accurately.
• Keep records that meet DOT, FDA, and Maine Oxy requirements.
• Operate a forklift and material-handling equipment.
• Keep your work area clean, organized, and safe.

Heads up: this is real physical work

• On your feet all day: standing, bending, reaching, and lifting
• Lift 25 to 75 pounds regularly, heavier items with equipment
• Work indoors and out, from roughly -10°F to over 100°F
• Use your senses to spot potential gas leaks (see, hear, smell)
