Job summary

Draken International LLC in Lakeland, FL is seeking an A-4 Aircraft Mechanic II to maintain and operate one of the largest fleets of commercial tactical military fighter jets.

You will perform repairs, inspections, troubleshooting, and component overhauls while following technical orders and safety directives. The role requires 5+ years hands-on experience and an FAA A&P license preferred, with TDY travel up to 25%. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent; fighter jet experience preferred.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on aircraft maintenance experience; FAA A&P license preferred.
• Willingness to travel TDY.
• Ability to work varying shifts.
• Strong reading and interpretation of aircraft technical orders and schematics.
• Proficient with computers.
• Must obtain/maintain Red X/IPI certification and security clearance.
• Must meet ITAR compliance.

Responsibilities

• Performs/supervises repairs and maintenance functions on fighter aircraft
• Performs post-flight, preflight, thru-flight, phase and depot inspections
• Detects and advises problems maintaining, servicing, and inspecting aircraft, removed components and related aerospace equipment
• Uses technical data to diagnose and solve maintenance problems on aircraft systems
• Interprets/advises on maintenance procedures/policies to repair aircraft, parts and equipment
• Troubleshoots and maintains aircraft structures, systems, components, and related equipment
• Removes, installs and performs operational checks aircraft components
• Maintains, rebuilds and/or overhauls aircraft components according to technical data
• Conducts functional tests of repaired components and systems
• Supervises and performs aircraft jacking, lifting, and towing operations
• Complete other duties as assigned.
