Job summary

Airborne Maintenance and Engineering Services in Tampa, FL is seeking a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technician to inspect, repair, and overhaul aircraft and components in accordance with company procedures and FAA requirements.

Must hold a valid A&P license, a valid driver's license, and be able to read maintenance manuals and blueprints. Preferred 2 years commercial heavy jet MRO experience; ability to work with hazardous materials and obtain an airport badge may be required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Airframe and Powerplant license.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Preferred experience: 2 years commercial heavy jet experience in MRO setting.
• Will accept: 2 years military experience on acceptable aircraft.
• Must have thorough working knowledge of FAR’s, AD’s, Service Bulletins, and Maintenance Manuals.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, instructions, blueprints, and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Works to written or verbal instructions.
• Performs all work assigned in accordance with approved maintenance procedures.
• Records work performed and assumes responsibility for that work by signature.
• Uses blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and Maintenance Manuals in performance of duties.
• Performs touch-up painting as needed.
• Must maintain A&P license in current status and carry it on person at work.
• May do experimental and development work as assigned.
• Service, troubleshoot, repair, modify, preserve, maintain, and overhaul aircraft and components; heavy maintenance on various aircraft types.
