Job summary

A leading aviation training provider is looking for a part-time instructor to deliver specialized courseware and training in a classroom environment. The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in aviation or a related field, possess recent flying experience, and have a minimum of 500 hours in USAF fighter or attack aircraft. This role requires excellent communication skills, and the ability to work autonomously, with a preference for candidates who hold a Secret security clearance. A significant travel commitment may be necessary.

Qualifications

  • Must have flying experience within the past ten (10) years.
  • Minimum of 500 flying hours in any current USAF fighter or attack aircraft.
  • Instructor experience and 1000 hours in any current USAF fighter or attack aircraft are desired.
  • Currently must possess security clearance of 'Secret' or above.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for their primary aircraft.
  • Monitor Stan Eval trends and initiate courseware revisions.
  • Review and update courseware and training materials.
  • Develop courseware/monitor courseware currency for assigned aircraft and areas of responsibility.
  • Provide content input for all lesson revisions where they are the primary SME.
  • Coordinate lesson revision input with other I/SMEs.
  • Identify areas of instruction requiring immediate attention.
  • Review aircraft and operations-related publications for updates to courseware and training materials.
  • Serve as the interface between the customer and CTI.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required (e.g., business development, local meetings, CRM research).

PURPOSE OF POSITION

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Computer Skills : Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Security Clearance: Currently must possess security clearance of “Secret” or above.
