Job summary

Bulge Bracket Bank in New York is seeking an Associate for its FIG Insurance investment banking team. You will work on buy-side and sell-side M&A for insurance brokers, MGAs, and the broader distribution and services ecosystem, partnering with senior bankers on strategic advisory work.

This execution-focused role requires handling modelling, valuations, client materials, and diligence to drive deals to close, with direct exposure to active insurance M&A activity.

Qualifications

• Current Associate (or a strong senior Analyst close to promotion) in FIG or insurance investment banking at a bulge bracket bank or an insurance-focused boutique
• Hands-on experience running both buy-side and sell-side M&A processes
• Deal experience in insurance distribution, brokerage, MGAs or insurance services is a big plus. Carrier-focused bankers with strong M&A execution will also be considered
• Strong modelling and valuation skills, and comfort working directly with senior bankers and clients

Responsibilities

• You'll work directly with senior bankers on buy-side and sell-side M&A for strategic and private equity-backed clients, along with capital raising and broader strategic advisory work.
• This is an execution-heavy seat. The team needs someone who can step in and run a process from day one: modelling and valuation, marketing materials, buyer outreach, diligence and getting deals to close.
