Beasley Lab at the University of Georgia seeks a motivated Temporary Technician to assist with projects on the Georgia coast. Responsibilities include live trapping, radio collaring wild pigs and white-tailed deer, bait site maintenance, remote cameras, and data entry.

Starting early January 2027 for 6–8 months, the role involves fieldwork in varying conditions, strict safety protocols, and compiling population estimates from camera trap data; prior field experience is preferred.

Formación

• Interest in wildlife field research and trapping experience.
• Ability to operate radio telemetry and camera traps.
• Willingness to start Jan 2027 and commit 6–8 months.

Responsabilidades

• Trapping wildlife for research purposes.
• Camera trapping work for population estimates including deploying game cameras and processing photos.
• Construct ungulate exclosures and maintain field equipment.
• Data management in Excel and related tasks as projects develop.
