Job summary

Magnolia River is seeking a Certified Welding Inspector to inspect natural gas transmission and distribution systems in the Gainesville, GA area. Travel may be required. You will document welds, coatings, and installations, ensuring compliance with client specifications and safety standards.

Responsibilities include reviewing routes, meeting with customers and contractors, and recording results in FieldLogIQ while maintaining accurate records and adhering to timelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• AWS CWI or CPWI certification is required.
• 5 years of natural gas industry experience preferred.
• Experience inspecting steel pipe welds and polyethylene pipe fusions, reading prints, and completing as-built drawings preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the proper construction of natural gas transmission and distribution systems.
• Evaluate job route and traffic flow prior to project start.
• Document progress and measurements in FieldLogIQ.
• Verify OQ compliance with client scope of work.
• Coordinate with contractors and clients to address concerns and document changes.
