Job summary

Linder Industrial Machinery Company in West Columbia, SC, is seeking a Field Welder/Line Bore Technician with a CDL B endorsement to join our field service team. The role involves performing field welding, line boring, and on-site fabrication, repair, and assembly of heavy equipment and structures.

The ideal candidate has proven welding experience, knowledge of industry codes, and the ability to read plans and specifications.

Qualifications

• Must have prior welding experience.
• Knowledge of applicable codes.
• Proficient in welding techniques (Oxy-acetylene, Electric Arc, MIG and TIG).
• Skilled in the fabrication, joining and repair of a variety of metal objects, equipment, fixtures and structures.
• Must have LINE boring experience.
• MUST HAVE CDL B with Air Brake Endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Field welding to include line boring services where applicable.
• Designs, fabricates, joins, and/or repairs equipment, fixtures and various objects using welding techniques.
• Operates drill presses, power saws, grinders, metal lathes and welding equipment.
• Analyzes plans and work orders to determine welding requirements and sequence.
• Estimates material and labor; recommends supplies and materials to be ordered.
