Job summary

Linder Industrial Machinery Company is seeking a skilled welder to design, fabricate, join, and repair equipment and structures at a field service level. You will work with various welding techniques and operate multiple metalworking tools to deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities include evaluating drawings, estimating materials and labor, and recommending supplies. Must have CDL B with Air Brake Endorsement and prior welding experience to qualify for this role.

Qualifications

• Must have welding experience and knowledge of welding codes.
• Proficient in welding techniques (Oxygen-Acetylene, Electric Arc, MIG, TIG).
• Line boring experience is required or preferred.
• CDL B with Air Brake Endorsement is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform field welding, including line boring services where applicable.
• Design, fabricate, join, and repair equipment, fixtures and metal structures using welding techniques.
• Operate drill presses, power saws, grinders, lathes, and other welding equipment.
• Analyze plans, drawings, and orders to determine welding requirements and sequence.
• Estimate material and labor for welding projects.
• Recommend supplies and materials to be ordered.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Job Summary

Designs, fabricates, joins, and repairs equipment, fixtures, and structures by using various welding techniques.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for field welding to include line boring services (where applicable)
• Designs, fabricates, joins, and/or repairs equipment, fixtures and various types of metal objects and structures utilizing oxygen-acetylene, electric arc, MIG and TIG welding techniques
• Operates drill presses, power saws, grinders, metal lathes and a variety of welding equipment and hand tools
• Analyzes plans, drawings, work samples, specifications, and work orders to determine work requirements and sequence of welding projects
• Estimates material and labor
• Recommends supplies and materials to be ordered
• Other functions and responsibilities as requested by management

Education/Experience/Skill

• Must have prior welding experience
• Knowledge of applicable codes
• Proficient in welding techniques (oxygen-acetylene, electric car, and TIG), tools and equipment
• Skilled in the fabrication, joining and repair of a variety of metal objects, equipment, fixtures and structures
• Must have LINE boring experience
• MUST HAVE CDL B with Air Brake Endorsement
