Zusammenfassung

The City of Gainesville is seeking a field sampling technician to collect potable water and wastewater samples across multiple locations, ensuring regulatory compliance and data accuracy. You will operate field probes, calibrate equipment, and document results for the City Laboratory to monitor distribution quality.

Responsibilities include handling sampling equipment, performing basic laboratory tasks as needed, and maintaining accurate records while adhering to safety and recall requirements.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma required.
• Water and/or Wastewater experience preferred.
• Must possess a valid Class C Georgia driver’s license and satisfactory MVR.

Aufgaben

• Collect water and wastewater samples from distribution and collection systems.
• Submit field data and samples to City Laboratory for quality assurance.
• Calibrate and use field probes for chlorine residual and pH readings.
• Maintain sampling equipment and documentation of results.
• Work in laboratory and field as required.
• Be eligible for recall in emergencies.
