Job summary

VONQ Group is seeking a Water Leak Field Technician to locate underground water leaks and document findings. The role involves independent planning, efficient daily task execution, and performing leak surveys across the water distribution system using acoustic detection equipment.

You will interpret GIS mapping data to pinpoint leak sources, classify severity, and provide customers with detailed summary reports. The position may require periodic night shifts and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license to operate company vehicle.
• Able to lift, push, pull, and carry 50 lbs.
• OSHA-10 certification required.
• Flagger certification required.
• Periodic night work.
• Prior experience in leak surveys or field tech.

Responsibilities

• Conduct leak surveys using acoustic detection to locate leaks.
• Plan daily tasks, read GIS data, and interpret survey results.
• Mark and document leak locations and classify severity.
• Prepare summary reports for customers detailing leak type and location.
