Job summary

Atlas Field Services is seeking Consulting Utility Arborists in the Dallas–Fort Worth area to identify hazard trees, inspect transmission lines, and perform VM-related property assessments. The role involves outdoor work, storm responsiveness, and coordinating with landowners on VM plans.

Qualifications include an associate or bachelor’s degree in forestry/related fields, knowledge of vegetation management, and a valid driver license.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor degree in forestry, horticulture, or related field, or equivalent education and/or experience.
• Knowledge of vegetation management and herbicide use desirable.
• Knowledge of electric utility facilities and hardware desirable.
• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have a valid driver license and be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Identify dead and dying trees affected by drought and environmental conditions.
• Inspect overhead power lines for vegetation clearance.
• Perform inspection and work verification on pre/post tree-trimming.
• Assess trees for hazard or danger potential.
• Transmit aerial audit work and property assessments; prescribe needed work to comply with VM guidelines.
• Communicate with customers/landowners about VM practices and property plans.
• Respond to storm events outside normal business hours.
• Support special projects and VM storm desk management.
