Job summary

H2O Innovation in Gulfport, MS is seeking a Valve Exercise Technician to locate and exercise water valves within the system. The role includes GPS tagging and GIS updates, with emphasis on accurate valve operations and system orientation.

The candidate should have a Mississippi driver’s license, a High School Diploma or GED, and be able to lift heavy loads while adhering to safety protocols. A background check will be conducted.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required.
• Mississippi driver's license is required.
• Knowledge of work hazards and safety precautions with equipment.
• Ability to walk long distances outdoors daily and lift over 40 lbs.
• Ability to understand maps and engineering prints.
• Ability to perform work accurately and follow procedures.
• Ability to make decisions and follow company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Locating/GPS'ing & exercising water valves with the system.
• Uploading GPS coordinates to the GIS system.
• Determine proper flow orientation of the water system.
• Maintaining and safeguarding equipment to keep it in good condition.
