Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Vaccination Technician to support field operations, collecting and processing blood, culture and tissue samples, and assisting in vaccinating and weighing flocks. Position requires driving a company vehicle and lifting up to 50 pounds in hot, humid environments.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of directly related experience, a BS in Poultry Science or similar, and strong communication and problem-solving skills to thrive in a fast-paced team setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Poultry Science or similar field preferred; experience may be considered in lieu of education.
• 2–5 years of directly related experience preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Collect and process blood, culture and tissue samples.
• Complete paperwork to submit samples to laboratory.
• Assist in vaccinating and weighing of flocks.
• Must have excellent driving record and current valid driver2s license.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in hot, humid, dusty environments.
• May work abnormal hours as needed.
