Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; fiber optics certs are a plus.
• 6 months to 2 years in utility locating, construction, surveying, or related field.
• Ability to operate locating equipment and interpret data accurately.
• Comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Identify underground utilities using locators and determine depth.
• Mark utility locations on ground with paint, flags, or stakes.
• Collaborate with field crews, contractors, and engineers to ensure safe projects.
• Utilize Konterra and 3GIS mapping to track locate tickets and reports.
• Document completed work with clear photographs and notes.
• Respond to after-hours emergency tickets as scheduled.
• Maintain safety standards and stay updated on industry practices.
• Provide courteous, effective service to clients and stakeholders.
