Job summary

Stake Center Locating is hiring entry level Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground (using paint and flags). We will train you on the job with 100% paid training, and you will work outdoors in all weather, independently solving problems with speed and accuracy.

Starting pay is $21.00 per hour. Benefits include PTO, paid holidays, safety shoe vouchers, a company car program, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Eighteen years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times a week.
• Ability to carry up to 5 lbs of locating equipment; lift up to 75 lbs with aids.
• Pass pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Think Safety First!
• Use a laptop to receive, document and process tickets and email.
• Read maps, interpret blueprints, and determine the best method & sequence for locating.
• Use provided locate equipment & technology to accurately locate underground utilities.
• Communicate effectively with peers, managers, and homeowners.
