Job summary

Stake Center Locating is hiring entry-level and experienced Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground (using paint and flags), promoting damage prevention in your community.

We train you on the job with 100% paid training and provide company vehicles with fuel cards, PTO/holidays, safety shoe vouchers, and a 401(k) match to support your career growth.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles a day 2-3 times a week.
• Ability to carry up to 5 lbs of electronic locating equipment; lift up to 25 lbs or 75 lbs with aids.
• Pass pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Use a laptop to receive, document and process tickets and email.
• Read maps, interpret blueprints, and determine locating method and sequence.
• Use locate equipment to accurately locate underground utilities.
• Communicate effectively with peers, managers, and homeowners.
