Job summary

Stake Center Locating is hiring entry-level and experienced Locate Technicians to locate underground utilities, troubleshoot, and mark the ground using paint and flags, promoting damage prevention in your community. We will train you on the job and equip you with the basic skills to be successful in our 100% paid training.

Starting pay: $20.00 or more based on previous locating experience! We offer late-model vehicles with a fuel card, PTO and paid holidays, safety shoe vouchers, and a 401(k)

Qualifications

• Eighteen years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to walk up to 5 miles daily 2–3 days a week.
• Able to carry up to 5 lbs of locating equipment; lift up to 25 lbs or more with aids.
• Pass pre-employment background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Read maps and interpret blueprints to locate utilities.
• Use locating equipment to accurately locate underground utilities.
• Document tickets and emails using laptop.
• Communicate effectively with peers, managers, and homeowners.
