Job summary

ELM Utility Services in Flower Mound, Texas is hiring a Utility Locate Technician to perform accurate underground utility marking for excavation projects. You will work outdoors with a company-provided vehicle and use marking paint, flags, and marking tools.

Starting wages range from $22.00 to $30.00 per hour, with benefits including a vehicle, fuel card, cell phone, medical/dental/vision options, PTO, holidays, 401(k), and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment drug test, Motor Vehicle Record, and background check required.
• Safety-Sensitive DOT position compliance required.
• High School Diploma or GED and be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Work independently outdoors using a company vehicle to complete a route of locate requests.
• Accurately, safely, and efficiently locate and mark underground utilities with paint, flags, and whiskers.
• Use the mobile work system to receive daily tasks.
• Be available for on-call rotation and overtime, including nights and weekends when needed.
