Job summary

USIC is seeking field locators to safely identify and mark underground utilities across residential and commercial sites. You’ll use a company vehicle, map and photograph locations, and document tickets for excavators and property owners.

No prior locating experience is required, but a strong safety mindset, reliability, and teamwork are essential. The role includes outdoor work, potential overtime, and on-call shifts, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology and data entry.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Able to read locate tickets, maps and prints.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities accurately and safely.
• Mark locations and document findings with photographs.
• Process locate tickets and coordinate with crews and homeowners.
• Work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
