Surveying And Mapping, LLC (SAM) is seeking a Damage Prevention Specialist to support safe excavation and accurate utility markings. You will liaise with homeowners and contractors, promoting best practices and ensuring compliance with 811 laws while working in the field.

The role involves driving a company vehicle to job sites, coordinating updates to gas markings, and documenting daily field observations. Outdoor work year-round with a focus on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Previous experience locating utilities is required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to meet MVR standards.
• Work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Promote and enforce safe digging per state 811 laws.
• Visit active job sites to communicate safe excavation practices.
• Coordinate corrections to gas utility markings.
• Perform quality checks on utility markings for accuracy.
