Job summary

Elm-Utility-Services in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Utility Locate Technician to mark underground utilities and prevent line strikes. You will operate a company vehicle, perform daily locate routes, and use marking paints and flags to clearly identify cables.

This role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass pre-employment checks. DOT safety rules apply; on-call, overtime, nights and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Must pass pre-employment drug test, MVR and background check.
• Safety-Sensitive DOT position requiring compliance with all DOT regulations.
• Minimum 18 years of age and valid HS diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Work independently outdoors using company vehicle as mobile office to complete a route of locate requests.
• Accurately, safely locate and mark underground utilities using marking paint, flags and whiskers as needed.
• Use the mobile work system to receive daily tasks and updates.
• Be available for on-call rotation and overtime, including nights and weekends when required.
