Job summary

ELM Utility Services is hiring a Utility Locate Technician in the Afton, Wyoming area. You will be responsible for locating and marking underground utilities to prevent damage during excavation, using marking paint, flags, and whiskers, and operating the LaunchPoint software system.

The role involves working outdoors in a mobile office setup with a company vehicle, on-call shifts, and possible overtime including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and at least 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Pre-employment drug test, motor vehicle record check, and background check required; this is a safety-sensitive DOT position.

Responsibilities

• Complete a route of locate requests daily using the company-provided vehicle.
• Accurately locate and mark underground utilities with marking paint, flags, and whiskers.
• Use the mobile work system to receive daily tasks.
• Work on-call rotation and overtime, including nights and weekends, as needed.
