Qualifications

• Experience or knowledge in natural gas, electric, telecommunications, or municipal utility construction is preferred.
• Strong understanding of utility safety practices, excavation standards, and damage prevention requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and utility maps.
• Comfortable working independently in the field and navigating multiple locations daily.
• Proficient with mobile technology and electronic reporting systems such as ArcGIS Survey123 and Field Maps; GPS instruments like Trimble/Topcon preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor utility construction projects to ensure compliance with safety regulations, approved plans, and standards.
• Serve as third-party representative of the utility owner and protect public safety and project quality.
