Job summary

Mi-Tech Services Inc. is seeking a Utility Construction Inspector to oversee and inspect utility construction projects across multiple locations, ensuring safety and compliance with approved plans, specifications, and standards.

The role requires the ability to travel statewide, interpret construction plans, and work independently in the field while using mobile reporting tools and GPS devices. AA/EOE/M/W/Vet/Disability.

Qualifications

• Experience or knowledge in natural gas, electric, telecommunications, or municipal utility construction is preferred, but not required.
• Strong understanding of utility safety practices, excavation standards, and damage prevention requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and utility maps.
• Comfortable working independently in the field and navigating multiple locations daily.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and monitor utility construction projects for safety, plans, specs, and standards.
• Act as a third-party representative for the utility or facility owner to protect public safety and project quality.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company standards during construction activities.
