Job summary

ArborMetrics in the outdoor vegetation management space is seeking a Contract Forester/Utility Forester to join the AMS team. The role targets proactive field work across energy corridors, focusing on pruning, removal, and vegetation clearance in accordance with client standards and ANSI/ISA guidelines.

Candidates should have practical utility vegetation management experience, knowledge of GIS and Microsoft Office, and the ability to work independently in varied weather.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in electric utility vegetation management in the field.
• Degree in forestry or natural resources or equivalent work experience.
• Knowledge of tree identification and GIS/Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare records and maps for patrol circuits and maintain documentation.
• Patrol energy corridors, identify vegetation for pruning/removal per standards.
• Classify work and conduct tree risk assessments and growth analyses.
• Mark vegetation and prescribe clearance actions per ISA and ANSI standards.
• Engage landowners and agencies to obtain permissions and provide service.
• Coordinate non-routine work and follow safety protocols.
