Eocene Environmental Group, Inc. is hiring a Consulting Utility Forester to protect communities and power networks through professional vegetation management. The role is field-based, working directly with utility clients, property owners, and contractors in diverse landscapes.

Qualifications

• Degree in forestry or related field is required.
• Strong knowledge of tree species identification and invasive species.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Customer service orientation and safety-minded.
• Proficient in map navigation and GIS data collection.

Responsibilities

• Contact property owners and public agencies regarding pruning and removals.
• Conduct tree and brush inventories.
• Conduct hazard tree inspections and evaluations.
• Plan work for tree contractors.
• Gather and manage field data (species, size, distance from conductors).
• Validate data across databases to ensure reporting accuracy.
• Enforce safety practices on the job site.
• Carry and utilize tools and equipment at work sites.
• Service trucks and equipment and keep them orderly.
