Job summary

SEIU Local 721 seeks a Worksite Organizer to implement the union’s program across jurisdictions. You will recruit and develop member leaders, articulate the union’s message, enforce contracts, and mobilize workers to protect their rights and improve working conditions.

The role requires training leaders, conducting outreach, and coordinating campaigns at various worksites with strict attendance and travel expectations. Salary ranges reflect experience and locality.

Responsibilities

• Identify, recruit, develop, mentor, train, and coach leaders across areas.
• Articulate the Union’s message to workers and enforce contracts.
• Mobilize and represent members to protect rights and improve work lives.
• Provide leadership to carry out Local 721 goals within programs.
• Identify, recruit, develop, and train shop stewards on representational matters.
• Develop and implement issue campaigns and legislative campaigns.
• Coordinate internal and external organizing campaigns and turnout.
• Maintain weekly work plans and accurate records.
