SEIU Local 2015 is seeking an External Organizer I to lead organizing efforts in Los Angeles, coordinating recruitment, leadership development, and campaign activities. You will engage workers, train leaders, and advance the union’s local program through strategic outreach and community partnerships.

The role emphasizes independent work with strong team collaboration, budget stewardship, and willingness to travel across California. Exempt, full-time position based in LA.

Qualificações

• Experience with labor unions or related advocacy organizations.
• Ability to train and mentor worker leaders and activists.
• Proven ability to execute campaign plans with clear goals.

Responsabilidades

• Lead recruitment of members and fundraising activities (COPE/PAF).
• Develop workers into activists via house/worksite visits and meetings.
• Train leaders to advance local program goals and campaigns.
• Plan and execute daily/weekly/monthly work plans.
• Analyze campaigns and report to local leadership; manage resources.
