Job summary

GridHawk LLC in New Jersey is seeking Locate Technicians to accurately locate underground utilities and document findings for client and state compliance. You will work independently or with a team, using multiple methods to locate and verify utilities while following safety and company procedures.

Candidates must pass a background check and DOT drug test. GridHawk provides a company vehicle, laptop, smartphone, and PPE to allowed full-time staff, with benefits eligibility after meeting

Qualifications

• Ability to read, interpret, and decipher multiple types of prints.
• Excellent communication and customer interaction skills.
• Must be able to lift over 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying conditions.
• Background check required with no violations in last 5 years.
• DOT drug test required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground facilities using transmitter and connections to buried assets.
• Work in construction zones and various terrains including residential areas.
• Interpret job orders, blueprints, and maps to guide duties.
• Perform locates during regular, overtime, and holiday hours as needed.
• Maintain professional communication with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
