Job summary

Flock is seeking a hands-on hardware–system integration engineer to join our Atlanta facility. You will diagnose fleet issues, analyze telemetry, and validate new docking hardware and drone airframes, working closely with core engineering.

Expect a role that blends field diagnostics with rigorous data-driven feedback. We value practical UAS experience, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to translate complex failures into actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or proven hands‑on experience in the UAS/Robotics space.
• 3+ years troubleshooting and maintaining Unmanned Aerial Systems, including multi‑rotor flight hardware and autopilot firmware.
• Hands‑on proficiency with hardware diagnostic tools (Multimeters, Oscilloscopes) and telemetry/monitoring suites (Grafana, Foxglove, or similar).
• Deep familiarity with GPS, LTE, RF communications systems, and signal strength/throughput troubleshooting between UAS hardware and ground infrastructure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a proven track record of converting complex hardware failures into clean engineering documentation.
• Nice to Haves: FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (required upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and triage complex fleet issues.
• Monitor telemetry and analytics; build real-time dashboards.
• Hardware bring-up and field validation of docking hardware and airframes.
• Translate edge-case failures into actionable bug reports for engineering.
• Develop and refine preventative inspection schedules and SOPs.
