Job summary

Flock is expanding its fleet of autonomous UAS and docking infrastructure, and you will be the technical bridge between field operations and core engineering, diving into telemetry, leading hardware bring-up, and ensuring field data drives next-generation hardware.

This onsite role at our Atlanta facility involves up to 25% travel to client sites, diagnosing complex fleet issues, monitoring telemetry with Grafana and Foxglove, and refining maintenance playbooks to scale our global fleet.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or proven hands-on UAS/Robotics experience.
  • 3+ years troubleshooting and maintaining unmanned aerial systems.
  • Hands-on proficiency with hardware diagnostic tools and telemetry suites.
  • Strong GPS/LTE/RF signal troubleshooting between UAS and ground infrastructure.
  • Clear written and verbal communication; convert failures into design feedback.
  • Nice to have: radar knowledge, BMS, Li-ion handling, FAA Part 107 cert (upon hire).

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and triage complex fleet issues.
  • Monitor telemetry and analytics with Grafana/Foxglove; establish KPIs.
  • Lead hardware bring-up and field validation of docking hardware and airframes.
  • Translate edge-case failures into actionable bug reports for engineering.
  • Develop and refine maintenance playbooks and troubleshooting guides.
