Job summary

Insitu seeks an experienced UAS Operator to operate and maintain unmanned aircraft systems across multiple platforms, including Integrator and maritime deployments. You will coordinate customer missions and deliver video and payload data while providing high-touch support for our products.

Role requires international travel up to 70% and 4–6 month deployments; you must pass medical, dental and psychological screenings, lift up to 40 lbs, and hold an active DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of UAS operation or maintenance experience.
  • Direct customer support in field environments.
  • Willing to deploy 4–6 months per assignment and up to 70% travel annually.
  • Pass pre-deployment medical, dental, and psych screenings.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs and work in extreme weather.
  • Active DoD security clearance (Secret).

Responsibilities

  • Operate unmanned aircraft systems per checklists and safety protocols.
  • Conduct preflight planning including weather, NOTAMs, and airspace requirements.
  • Evaluate mission requirements and determine operational needs.
  • Collect and analyze flight data; complete post-mission reports/logs.
  • Collaborate with team and customers to plan UAS missions.
  • Perform UAS and ground support equipment testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts to resolve issues beyond field maintenance.
  • Conduct inventory of UAS spares/components and report cycle counts.
